ABOUT NORTH STAR CONSULTING SERVICES

As a subsidiary of the multi-million dollar nonprofit, Cribs for Kids, North Star Consulting Services offers outsourced book-keeping and controller services to nonprofits and start-up companies that are searching for a flexible, affordable, outside option. The team involved in successfully managing Cribs for Kids’ public-private partnership model for over two decades is now extending its services to organizations local to Pittsburgh, PA., and beyond. Because North Star Consulting is a subsidiary of a nonprofit organization, North Star stands out. This ownership model allows for the company to focus exclusively on helping clients succeed rather than on profit motivation.

Outside of work, Brian spends his time playing on various co-ed softball teams and creates furniture in his garage during the weekends and winter months.

Nicole graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in accounting and has been working in the accounting field for 21 years.  15 years in public accounting helped Nicole realize her passion for nonprofits, and she has spent the last 6 years in nonprofit financial management.

Nicole’s greatest joy is being a mother to three brilliant children, Justin, Samantha, and Ethan, and a loving wife to her husband, Brian. She’s committed to serving her community and does so by being the Treasurer of Westmoreland Conservancy, the Treasurer of Crossroads Presbyterian Church Cemetery, and the Committee Chair and Den Leader for Cub Scout Troop 184.  She enjoys gardening, cooking, crafting, and discovered her love of dogs during the pandemic, and is now a dog mom to 3 cocker spaniels.
